Traction!!!

I dont understand, I have an 03 CL-S 6-speed with Comptech I/H/E deleted cat, And Im lowered on Eibach 2", with 08 TL-S waffle wheels 235/45/17. The tires are about 2 months old. From a roll I spin through 1st, and when I hit 2nd hard I spin through second as well with a stock clutch (fairly new). Now from a dead stop forget about it, I only get traction in 3rd. I cant imagine how useless a S/C would be. Also say im doing 40mph and just put it in 2nd, as soon as i punch it the tires start to break loose. I want to take it to the track but I would run horribly with this issue. I feel like im driving a car that has 400 hp but in all reality im probably lucky if im putting over 230 hp at the wheels. Does anyone else have traction issues. This car would be really fast if you could launch it right, but i cant see that happening. Is it because its too heavy? I already shed off a lot of weight from this car. Probably around 100 lbs. Nothing crazy like the TL DIET GUY but I dont want my car to look like an unassembled car at the factory. I thought an LSD tranny would help the traction part, and the 235/45/17 tires i got do nothing. These tires are PRIMEWELL PZ-900, I dont know, they came with the rims and they were new, and the tread pattern looks really great but I dont know. You ever see that blue CL-S 6-speed supercharged in CAR and DRIVER that only ran like a 14.3. I mean thats what they run stock. Is it because of traction problems? Anyways give me some feedback.

Stiffy mount, nrg dampers, full suspension work, custom motor mounts, better tires, and a person who knows how to launch the car cause it takes practice. Traction/wheel hop bars would help also.

btw sounds to me like those tires aren't that good. Never heard of those either.

Get some tires with super sticky tread (less then 200 treadwear rating)

It's mainly the tires. But the car is just not built for hard launch traction.
I have good tires & they do pretty well for traction when it's warm out. Now FL has been colder & am experiencing what you are. Almost no traction when I'm hard on the gas.

First off its winter already. Temperature on the outside is below 32 deg. No matter how good tires you gonna get in this temp its hard to get good traction. Look at the tire rack com for high rated ultra high performance tires. I bet you need to learn how to launch the car also engine mounts. For summer i recommend hankook v12 k110. For winter and cold weather Continental ExtremeContact DWS

Traction in this car is non existent.

You need to peddle it through first and second. Its partly the mounts, partly the tires, and partly the torque (while not much, its enough to overwhelm the front wheels).

Never heard of those tires, but they probably suck

I hear Nitto RT-501 (I think that's what they're called) is a good tire. And I wouldn't worry about getting good traction now, like someone else said, it's winter already. Your tires are probably getting harder and harder.
