Temporary Fix for IMRC actuator..

basically this the second time this blasted thing went out on me...i tried taking it apart and i found a a couple chipped teeth on the gear...so i just decided to jerry-rig the valve to stay open all the time...so far i havnt noticed any huge difference in a loss of tq down low. ..but what i did gain is my top end back for free! now my intake is always screaming now which i love..

well its pointless for me to keep buying new actuators or even trying to repair the two that i already have...i think its is the best solution for me...and maybe others too im in the process of doing some city driving to see any negative effects on MPG..

Mine broke like 6 years ago and was repleved under warrenty and as been finr since then... I love the sound the car makes when it opens at like 5K RPM expecially w/da headers... Why dont you just unscrew the plate on top and take the metal plate out!

The IMRC opens at 3800 rpm, its not really noticable.
VTEC engages at 4800 rpm, thats more noticable and im guessing thats what your hearing.

its big time noticable if you are running a short ram intake like i am, I can hear the difference even with the windows down on the E way.
