strange humming from a distance
I was at a friends house and I came outside while my car
was running! theres was a strange low humming sound coming from the motor!
but it is only noticable from a distance, or if you open the hood
and put your ear down by the intake! is this a problem? and has anybody else
noticed it with their car? it doesnt sound serious but I am curious!
any suggestions will be great

If you have an aftermarket intake or even a K&N drop in with the resonator removed you're going to get some humming, especially if you have a short ram intake it'll be VERY loud humming. Is that what you're hearing?

 

Even the stock air intake makes a humming sound. Check the retaining clips of the airbox, nearest to the motor, and see if they are broken. The dealer broke mine off and I had a pretty loud humming sound because the top of the airbox wasn't secured tightly. I strapped a couple zip ties around it to hold the top on.
