Spark Plugs for 2003 AT CL-S

Hi all,

I have a 2003 Acura CL Type S with automatic transmission and it's time for my Cl to get it's spark plugs done. I'd like to go with the NGK Laser Iridium plugs, however I'm seeing two different part numbers in threads on this site.

IZFR6K11
IZFRK11

Are these the same or different plugs?

Also, should I be doing a fuel injector cleaner or any other maintenance before/after replacing the spark plugs?

Thanks
Mike

I got NGK PZFR6E-11 from Honda's site. The part number is 12290-PGE-A02.

They used IZFR6K-11 for the 6 speed (9807B-5617W). So it's up to you which you want to use. I have the lazer iridiums in my 01 CL-S now and it runs great.

As for cleaning, you could pour some seafoam in the intake and in the gas tank before changing out the plugs. You may want to do this before the plugs because I've heard that the carbon can get dislodged and attach to the plugs. I did seafoam twice before I changed my plugs out and they were clean.
