right side air bag deployed ....yikes
Hey guys... i just got a sweeet CL type s... salvage... body is beautiful... its a light flood for those who want details.. no body damage..not a scratch..though the right seat side air bag is deployed... acura quoted me 2500$..thats wild.. are there cheaper places... i mean i guessi could just sow it back up (the seat) and not have an airbag there..
i bought the car for 7800 black/spoiler/2001 type s w/ navigation and 86k the miles bum me out.. did i get a deal or no?
Runs great fyi

I want to know why the airbag is deployed. Accident? Or did some ignoramous try to slim-jim it, not knowing it had side impact airbags?
Was the car in an accident, then repaired, hence the "salvage". Or is the "salvage" due to water damage?
I want more details.

no repainting nothing... this was a car registered toa business ...guess it was taken care of ...oh the flood... flooded probably a few inches above the carpets...

take a tape measure and measure where you think the flood water rose to and walk around the car and see where that is.... engine, interior.
My guess is the power seats are fried from the water. Engine electrical?

That's what I was thinking too. Water must have been fairly high and hit the headlights too. I'm guessing the invertors are bad from water damage. That's gonna be pricey.

Oh, and IMHO, I think you should drop whatever it is you're doing with this car, don't put a dime into it, take LOTS of pics, and part it out in the Black Market. You might do pretty well by this.
Too bad it has a spoiler already. I as going to ask you how you felt about trading trunklids. LOL!

says "hello to my TLX".
damn dude. i don't know what to tell you. wait, yes i do. you get what you pay for. you get enough problems with a non-salvaged car and getting the kind that you did is just asking for it.
