My maint. light started blinking today when I started it. But it was cold and I think that had something to do with it. Has this happend to anyone else here. Cold start maint flashing. Or what does it mean. I just changed the oil 500 miles ago. It cant be that.

It's an idiot light.....hello there!!!!

It's preprogrammed to start to flash at 7K miles interval's. Then when it reaches 7250 it will stay on. To remind you to change the oil. Just reset it & ignore it.
Turn key to run & hold the select & reset buttons on the dash until the light goes out. Turn off then start car & it should be off.
