3 weeks ago I had my transmission changed at the dealership, (70,000 miles, they took care of everything). I get in my car the other day, start it, apply break, attempt to shift out of first and the shifter is stuck. I had to use the manual override to shift out of park so I could get to work. Does anyone know what the difficulty is? Any idea on pricing? Does this have anything to do with my tranny change? Please help. Thanks for any input.

 

It's a good bet it does. Take it back in. They should cover it.

 

Same thing happened to me last summer, but it wasn't tranny related. One of my fuses went out, found out one of the wires for the spoiler brake light was exposed
