Problem with HID headlight
Hey, so I've had my 03 CL-S for about a 2 months now and when I got it the DRL light was on, and my right HID headlight didn't work (Day time running light module for Canadian models).
Anyways, I re-soldered the joints on the DRL module and put it back in and the DRL light on the dash turned off. The problem is that my right headlight still isn't working.
I checked my fuse box today and I saw that the fuse was burnt, however upon replacing it the new fuse immediately burnt. Does anyone know what's going on?
From what I've read the HID headlights seem to malfunction quite a bit and it seems hard to know if it's the bulb or the ballast that's causing the problem or even the DRL module.
Anyonw have any clues to what the problem might be?

If the fuse blows right away that mean you have a direct short. It is in the wiring or the ballast. I would start with ballast and ohm it out to find if there is a short. if it is OK start checking the wiring working your way untill you find the short. If the ballast and bulb is OK and all else fails. Get some proper size wire and run a new power line. I would start at the headlight and work my way back. Check everything. Remember to always check the one item your sure can't be the problem.
