This morning on my way to work I notice my cars reflection in the van infront of me- and then I also noticed only 1 headlight.

I turned my lights off then back on and both came on; then the right one faded out after a few seconds and turned off. This afternoon when I was pulling out of the garage it was doing the same thing.

Any thoughts on what this could be- and how to fix it.

BTW it is a 01' CL

Have you had any work done to it recently?

 

Start with the cheapest possible fix by first checking for a loose connection or bad ground. If that's not it, it could be the ballast (a.k.a. inverter) may need to be replaced ($300+).

 

It couldn't just be a bulb could it? How much are they on this car anyways?

 

I have a 2001 cl type s with navi, my problem is these youngs with civics and integras in my neighborhood are targeting my headlight for the HID, I was already robbed of my headlights last september. What preventive measures can I use to protect my headlights been as I park on the road over knight.

Mine did that awhile ago....turned out to be a bad ballast. Replaced under warranty. Is your car still under warranty?
