Power steering fluid on belts.....

Should I worry about a bit of power steering fluid that leaked onto my belts? I now realise that its caustic and was just wondering if it will hurt my belts or to just not worry. It happened like 3 weeks ago...... thanks

From: Pacific Northwest, blah.
Not to worry too much, but if your belts start squeeking...then it would be time to switch them out, replace them, and clean the crank wheels so there is no 'oil' on them.

They were making a little noise at first but I used a rag and ran it over the belts when they were running to clean it off. No un-natural sounds now, I( was just worried maybe it could eat through the belts. thanks
