Popping noise in intake air box

Popping noise in intake air box

My 2002 type s started to make this popping nise in intake air box. What could this be. No check engine or anything. Just a constant popping noise. Please help.

Did you open the box to see if there was anything stuck in there?

Yes I opened it and it is like some kinda of popping noise coming from intake side. Like some mini misfire or something. But odd no check engine

I had the same problem after replacing the Idle Air Control with an aftermarket one. After installing a new OEM IAC, the problem went away. I read about this same issue from others after replacing a non-OEM IAC.
