Overheating brakes, dealer fault?

I had a dealer replace my brake Roters and pads about 2 months ago, this week i found my rear driver side is overheating. Dealer thinks it's a stuck caliper (or worse), wants to charge me $65 for another inspection. I know the caliper has to be removed for said pad/rotor job, what is my chances they made an error putting it back together, or what could be worse? I'd rather not have to pay out anything if this is their fault.

It's a 2003 CL auto. Tranny replaced 30,000 miles ago. Maybe 1000-2000 miles since brake job.

read your paperwork from the brake job. See if there's any warranty on the work done.

Theres a slight chance that what they did could have caused it, but it would be difficult to prove. If you jack up that wheel can you turn it at all? Are you sure its the caliper and not the emergency brake?

I don't see how you could prove it was from them. You can try to get them to cover it out of good will tho, but I wouldn't be too hopeful.

The dealership and I are not in good terms after a little Rental Car situation where they told me to hold on to it for another day, then the boss came back and threatened to charge me for it because he promised it to someone else. I doubt they'll "good will" anything. Hopefully, I can fight the $65 charge as it's a full inspection, which I had done 2 months ago and really don't need again.

My guess on the caliper is because it doesn't happen every time I drive it. In fact, I haven't noticed it the past two times to work and back. I don't use the e-brake as I 99% of the time park on level ground.

The 65 dollars is probably for the diagnosis to see what's wrong.

A jack & a lug wrench you can check it yourself. Can you change a tire? Same deal. It will become obvious by looking & turning the rotor if something is sticking. Hell you can unbolt the caliper & check that too. 2 bolts & off it comes.
