I would say for the last 2 months my car has been getting very hot and causing the engine fans to go off almost everyday after driving or even during......

This is strange because last summer this didn't occur, my cars temperature is at it's normal level(just under halfway on the meter)

I realized I didn't have any anti-freeze in the car, so I added some to the tank but it didn't solve the problem....

So any idea on what might be going on

 

Which tank did you add it to, reservoir? or radiator directly? If you are really low on coolant it may not get sucked in from reservoir and still cause it to run high on temp. Check radiator first - when it s cold
