Yesterday after partying most of the day my car broke done. First time in seven years. Towards the end of the night I noticed the card seemed like it wanted to stall when I gave it gas and wasn't idling properly and the VSA and engine light came on and three miles from my place it it stalled and died. I went to give it gas at a light and it sputtered and died. I was on a secondary road and pulled over the slow lane and noticed smoke pouring out of the hood. It smelled like rubber and with it being dark I couldn't tell where it was coming from, but it wouldn't start and when I tried it sounded like a pinball machine. Car was towed and I need to check for codes.
Does this sound like a blown tranny?

I dont remember hearing about smoke when other people's tranny failed. sounds like it could be something else, plus your /!\ light wasnt on either. that usually goes on when the tranny fails too.
what you need to do is pull codes and look under the hood to find out where that smoke was coming from but the codes will help you the most.

OUCH, advisor said the #2 cylinder was shot a spark plug broke off and it needs head work. If they send it out to a machine shop I was told 3 to 4 grand and if the head is new it would run close to 6 grand. Didn't see this coming! 7 years old with 140k on it. I guess I will have it towed somewhere else and get a second opinion.

I was thinking, about a month ago I was getting the free yearly inspection done and was told I had a broken motor mount and it need to be replaced. Not sure which one, the paper is in the glove box at the dealer. Could they have messed my front head up by drilling? I was told there was a threading issue on the cylindar that was gone.
