O2 sensor problem?

Hey guys i have a 01 CL-S and since i got the car about 4 months the side airbag light would come on and recently when i start the car about 60% of the time the parking brake light will come on and i've hardly ever used it, i don't go anywhere that i need to park on hills . Is it time for a replacement?

I am confused.

What is it time for replacement for? The O2 sensor (thread title), the side airbag light (which if you have something on the seat under 35lbs I believe or if someone is leaning against the door, the light will come on letting you know the airbag is off for safety reasons) or the parking brake (which could be a faulty sensor).

I didn't know know the airbag did that, but half the time it comes on either with a passenger in the seat or nothing in the seat at all.

Could my O2 sensor need replacing?

It comes on if you place something in the passenger seat as well.

And how is the side airbag and the O2 sensor related?

Just forget about O2 sensor. Looks like OPDS (passenger detection system) sensor is getting funky. I think it was under recall for SRS light comming on. Some guys had entire seat replaced. This may be triggered by something sitting on the seat or a child. I would not bother about this unless it is lit permanently. Check you brake fluid level. As your brakes wear, more BF gets into caliper and it might be low in the morning - till it warmes up ,expandes an shuts off your light
