Newbie with a question

I recently bought my black 03 6 Speed and am wondering if anyone else has come across this trouble. When the car is cold, between 2500 and 3500 RPMs it seems to have a slight miss under light exceleration. Hard exceleration, it doesn't seem to do it. I notice it every time I drive the car when it's cold. Once warmed up it doesn't do it anymore. It was a certified car so I have a 12Mo, 12k Mile Bumber to bumber, but the closest dealer is about 2 hours away. There are no lights or anything that indicate any problem so I'm stumped. Maybe a sensor, or something that's causing this? Car has 55k Miles on it.

Do you have an AutoZone closer? I'd suggest checking for codes to see if it really is missing, and if it's on the same cylinder.

Yeah, we have an auto zhone here. So they will simply put their reader on it and see if there's a code? If I have no service engine lights nor ever had, that won't make a difference?

Ya mine does the same thing. Only while cold but does not do it once its warmed up. Feels like you take your foot off the gas when you dont, right? I have not looked into whats causing this but would be curious myself. 03 CL-S

Glad to know it's not just me. My friend has an 01, auto (obviously) but it doesn't seem to do it. However, with the manual it's easier to keep the rpms at the right spot to feel the problem.

I definitely have that 'you took your foot off of the gas' feeling when you haven't. And glad that I am not the only one.

I was starting to think that 3rd gear should be left out of the rotation whenever possible. There does not seem to be any consistency with the problem, which leads me to think that it may be a temperature issue.
