I had the same problem. Turned out to be a sticking caliper.

cheers,

could be a bent rim, did you get an alignment after pulling all 4 tires off?

No, probably not they dont generate near enough heat for them to warp

first what I would do if I were you, is swap your rear wheels to the front and see if you still have the same problem, if it goes away, it is a wheel problem, if it stays, it probably has to do with your suspension/calipers.

start with the easy stuff, then gradually go to things that rarely go wrong

Hmm to Operaion D thanks. that sounds like a plan. Just curios, what would be the reason that you think that might work? Thanks

i'm having similar problems. Its not my wheels for sure, but has something to do with brakes itself.

I'll get back to you as soon as I get time to look into it.

It could be that the pads are not bedded in properly. I have the same problem from time to time with my BBK....as I have track pads, and from normal driving, they un-bed themselves.....and I have to do about 4 60-10mph stops to bed them back in. Just a thought for you.

I think you should focus on where the shake is coming from and make sure the shake is when you're on or off the brake. If the shake is in your steering wheel then, most of the time, it's something to do with the front, but if the shake is in the ass of your seat, then it's probably something with the rear. Your car's not going to shake if it's out of alignment. Go to a tire shop and have all 4 wheels balanced and have them check the tires for separation or a bent wheel.

I too am having the same shake when braking. The problem was there before the rotor and pad change, and it is still there after the change. In my case, the car ('02 CL-S) got 4 tires and an alignment before the front brake job. Rotors were turned at a machine shop that has been there for years and is used by several local race teams.
Any way to check if the piston is stuck, since I _think_ everything else has been ckecked?
I am looking at the rear set in about 15 minutes, since they have not been looked t in years.

Thanks,
Dave

Okay,
I did replace the rear pads and turned the rotors, but did not replace the parking brake shoes. This cured my vibration problem, even if the machinist said that niether of the rotors were warped. He did say that one of the rotors was worn down more than the other, but not enough to be a problem.

that happened to me for ONE stop when I changed the pads. There usually might be a break-in period (drive at 40mph and stop, repeat several times). Also lube the back plate of the pads with silicone grease too. That helps with noise

I'm getting the same problem right now. I haven't figured out whats causing it. I had it balanced and aligned still the same problem. It's really bothering me... the shake only happens when I brake anywhere from 60-80+ Has Acura said anything about this issue? it seems common.

Hey guys, where can I get the service/repair manual? I've been to Autozone, but there are one for TL. Can you send me the online version by e-mail (hermtm2@gmail.com) if anyone has it?

Thanks.
