Hi..i have an 03 cls auto and im having an over heating issue.As soon as i turn the car on the temp cauge is already passed the halfway mark..im thinking its a bad temp sensor but wouldnt that throw a code?? Im stuck and in need of some help any info is greatly appreciated thanks for reading...

 

If the car has been off for a good long while and you start it and right away the gauge reads a lot higher than normal than you aren't having overheating. Sounds like a bad temp sensor. The only CEL codes listed for our car --here-- for anything temp related seems to be the P0128 "Thermostat Range/Performance Problem" code. I have no idea if that would show up if the sensor is bad.

 

Thanks..do you know if that would b the sensor on thr radiator or the one by the thermostat?
