Normal operation.

The car has a dual mass flywheel. This is supposed to make the car easier to drive.

Search the FAQ on bypassing the clutch dampener, installing a SS clutch line & installing shifter bushings. This will improve shift feel.

Will it do anything for engagement issues surrounding the clutch?...by the way what ended up happening with the hit and run?

Are you sure about that. So when anyone shifts there cl-s the rpm raise like 2 to 3 hundred rpms. For example I'm in first gear I take off then press clutch to go in 2nd the rpms raise then come down. Oh yea I've been driving manual for a real long time and I never experienced this before. Can it be my tps?

Yes. It's the way this car is made. It's different from other cars.

As I said if you bypass the clutch dampener & add a SS clutch line this will make it more normal.
