For some reason there are almost no posts about the navi.
Anyways, Mine ussually gives the consult the dealer message, unless u press all the botton back and forth and it will load up, all the way untill you have to enter destination or view map, then it freezes and you cant even go into the ac menu.

my navi disk seams fine, without scratches, what could it be?
I'm not quite ready to drop 150 just for a diagnostic.

Sounds like the drive's not working correctly. I don't have navi, but shouldn't it be something that's under waranty?

Audio/Video forum is here:

Feel free to crosspost/repost your questions there... That's where the majority of navi threads are...

Why does everyone worry about $150 for a diagnostic?? I just took my car to a schucks and they plugged it in for free.... Is there something wrong with doing that with a CL-S?

Nothing wrong with doing that for a CEL (check engine light)... but OBD (on board diagnostics) doesn't give DTC's (diagnostic trouble codes) for navi issues (network dtc's aren't standardized)...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Table_of_OBD-II_Codes

The SAE J2012 standard defines a number of generic OBD-II Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), which fall into one of the following categories:

* Powertrain (P) DTCs
* Body (B) DTCs
* Chassis (C) DTCs
* Network (U) DTCs

As of September 2005, only P and U generic DTCs are standardized.
