feel ya pain
i have an '03 6spd(sole owner) and i just replaced the 4yr old battery. i found the radio code in my glove box kit , but no navi code. i looked in the fuse box cover under the hood, looked on the outside of the glove box and finally looked on the back of the dvd rom itself and got a serial number. called the dealer and found out that it was a bogus number, so i removed the rom from it's rack and got the real number from the bottom. called the dealer and got the 4 digit pin number. i was never asked my name, my vin number, my address, nothing...

funny, i was about to make a thread ont his right now, i have an 01 and im the 2nd owner. the first owner never wrote the navi code in the book which would have been a smart thing to do. i also had to do it with the radio, and that took no time at all. they keep making up excuses as to why they cant help me with the navi code. its starting to get on my nerves cuz its just been a clock for the past 3 weeks.
also, i did the same as cl2 removed the entire set-up in the trunk from the rack to get the serial number which is what they said they needed to give me the code, said they needed to call somwhere in california and theyd get back to me. never did.

I recently bought a used salvaged title 01 cls and both the radio code and navi codes did not come with the car. If you take the dvd player out of the trunk, on the underside of the unit is the parts serial number. write it down and call a service writer at your local acura dealer. If he's helpful, he will give you the code in 2 min. If not, just call again, you'll more than likely get a different service guy. They have access to all the codes.
