Is my Tranny out??

what up people

ok so I still dont believe it but I think its finally happened to me.
I have been feeling the car jerk when switching gears like 4th to 3rd, 2nd for a while and when speeding up from stop it jerks like crazy unless i get on the gas.

well today i was driving at about 50 and saw red light at distance and let the gas go the car was rolling and when i hit the breaks the rpm and speedometer both jerked to 0 and back to whereever they where couple of times, and I had that moment . so i stoped and it happened again while accelerating so i took little easy on it and drove to my destination and parked the car and went to get my stuff and when I came back the car was dead, I mean lights out. I turned the key and nothing just some knocking sound from the rear of the car. So i called AAA after trying for and hour to restart and requested a tow because i thought the car shut itself off to prevent further damage to the tranny. well while waiting i asked someone if they have Jumer so i could try..... and the freaking car started with the jump. so i drove around in the parking lot and street, turned it off and on again - again and it worked fine.
so what could be the problem

first of all, in the words of my friend your a jerk lol

sorry, okay, your car will never not start to protect anything. no car does that. and especially since your car started with a jump, that leads me to suspect that the battery was drained. It shouldnt have been if the alternator was doing its job. So I suggest a few things to check before taking it into acura for a tranny.
1. Check battery. Buy a new one and see if that fixes anything. also check the connections
2. Have your alternator tested by a auto parts supply store. many will do it for free.
3. Check for loose ground connections. Have you done any engine work to the car lately?
4. Whats the mileage on the car? if it indeed the tranny, you might be able to qualify for a free replacement.

hope this helps

hey hey hey ,, i might be lil stupid but def. not a jerk.. anyway thanks for the suggestions i will have someone checkout the alternator but i checked the battery and its fine, ground was the first thing came to my mind as i recently made adjustments to my fog lights but couldnt find anything and the car runs normal like before so hopefully everything is fine. Oh yeah it got like almost 59k miles on it so far tranny is ok, except the occasional jerking.
