My CL isn't happy

Hey guys, last night I was driving home from work in a hell of a blizzard. I stop for a red light, put it in 2nd to go, the tires spin a little, then I hear this noise like I just hit a pot hole at 90mph. Now the car won't move. The engine sounds fine, but when I put it into gear and try to go I hear a hellacious noise coming from the front right wheel well. Kinda like a spinning grinding noise. I think I busted the axle or something in that area. So now my car is sitting in a shity plaza parking lot untill I figure out what I'm gonna do. Also this is a part I found under the car after I heard the noise.

And I looked up the part number and its a dynamic damper.

ACURA CL DYNAMIC DAMPER
Part# 44351-S0K-A11

Any help or insight you guys can offer would be appreaciated. Thanks

or axle in general, so you need a new axle in order for it to move on it's own

Well I guess it could be worse. Any ideas about how much axles go for and what kind of labor I'm looking at here? I'm having it towed to a shop later tonight and hoping that my warranty will cover most of it. But still curious about what would have caused this to happen. Seemed a little out of no where to me. And thanks for the replies guys.

How old are they? Axles dont last forever.

You can get axles at Napa/Auto Zone for less the $100 each.

Labor shouldnt be much, the axle already removed itself lol

does seem kinda strange to just break, unless of course a new axle had been put in not too long ago, or you happened to have a tranny put in, might have been damaged by re/installation or could be just a plain old bad axle

axle= kinda depends on were you get it anywhere from $75 to $350+, ($75 is like an autozone one , then $350+ is dealer) but geneally a good quality rebuilt one is geneally $100-$200

labour= about an hour to an hour and a half, if every thing comes apart easy like not rusted together (which could add time to it); and no price because i do not know your shop's hourly rate

The Auto Zone axles have a lifetime warranty, and they are pretty good rebuilds.

yeah but that lifetime warrenty is proably ONLY for covering the axle itself, and not labour to remove or reinstall it

but also i know some of those cheaper rebuilds have their shaft alot thicker due to lower quality materials , which makes them quite a bit heavier, and no stronger then OEM ones
