missfire during warm up only

1998 Cl 2.3 auto..starts excellent..when cold or hot: During warm up will not accelerate. Push gas you get a delay then feels like it fires on 3 rd cylinder and then 4th cylinder then full power> it will rev solid all the way to redline. When warms up runs fine unless under heavy load in 5th gear 1500 rpm will miss fire again...shift down rpm pick up runs strong... checked/cleaned EGR it looked in good condition...runs the same with EGR connected or disconnected. Did a tune up with plugs/rotor/cap/ the wires are 3 years old. Cold air intake clean. Has hedder exhaust and new catalytic new O2 sensors... Does not display any codes anytime. Does not stall usually. Stalled once and started immediately. Whole issue lasts 5 minutes, but if you pull out into traffic it can loose power and take 3-5 seconds to spool up and you have to modulate the gas pedal. It will not work to just jam it to the floor. any thoughts as to what system to investigate next...thanks wordman
