lighting advice?

Just wondering if the OEM ballasts will handle 600k replacement bulbs, or if I'm better off using an after market kit. I can't justify spending 350-400 skins every time I lose a ballast. 01 CL type S.
I know the inverter is the same from 01 to 03, but that doesn't make OEMs cheaper or easier to find. Any advice on cost versus dependability for after markets? And, how hard are the after market kits to install?

The Kelvin temperature has nothing to do with current draw.

Good, since we definitely dont need your attitude here.

You original question:

Which garnered my response.

The rest of your post is pointless seeing as you were asking if the OEM ballasts could handle it, and if not, blah blah blah....

I thought my answer was pretty straight forward. The OEM ballasts can handle a 6000k (thats what Im assuming you meant, even though you typed 600k) bulb, as kelvin temperatures have nothing to do with current draw.

But, you seem to think that a 22 year old is still in junior high, thus giving us a very good indication into your mindset.

Cliffs:
-Good day
-Fuck you

To quote a small section of an earlier reply:

"Cliffs:

I agree completly.

You come here and ask a poorly worded question that in itself is not only pointless but indicitave of an utter lack of knowledge or understanding of the system you asked about and then you go out of your way to insult the only person who was good enough to answer your ignorant ass. I'm a long long ways past my twenties but I am almost certain that the guy who answered your question - and gave a perfectly good and direct answer - knows more about these cars, what ails them, and how to deal with them than I ever will. If you had been civil with him he probably would have shared some of that wealth of knowledge with you. But as it is I think he gave the best answer possible in his follow-up post:

-Good day
-Fuck you

I don't know about you, but I wasn't. We don't need his attitude on this site.

After reading everyone's reply, I have to agree with the majority of the posts here. So, good riddance, sc13!
