Hey guys, This is my first post in the forum and as a result I may sound like an idiot so i apologize for that. I purchased a 2001 CL type-S with 145,000km on it. I've read about all the tranny problems and whatnot but i got a really good price on the car and have a friend with a spare tranny sitting in his garage if push comes to shove. However, the problem I'm having now is this:At times, I can feel the engine trembling when i try to get more juice out of it, more so than ever on an uphill when a downshift + torque is required. The MAJOR problem i've been having is that if i keep the engine off but the power on only AFTER driving the car, it won't start anymore. The car will turn on, the engine will turn, but it will start shaking and trembling non-stop until i turn it off again. If i hold the throttle open halfway and turn it on a couple times, it will eventually turn on. It's strange that this problem only happens in a specific scenario, so if i drive to a gas station and turn off the engine, and listen to the radio for a bit, the call will not turn back on properly. If i keep the car on, it's not a problem, if i idle in the car in the morning or evening without running the engine first, it won't cause any problems. I'm going to try to clean the EGR and see if that fixes the problem, but i was really hoping someone here would have some insight for me. I've read a TON of posts in the forum and all I've been able to conclude is that it's either: Coils/EGR/Injectors. Might be a fuel pump issue/ fuel pump relay. When you turn the key into the ON position, see if you can hear a slight whine from the fuel pump. Its pretty quiet so you'll need to do it somewhere kinda quiet.
