It's right underneath the headlight assembly. Need to remove the bumper in order to access it. Or use an after market ballast & splice into the HID connector without removing the bumper (except for the driver side ballast). There are numerous write ups in this forum.

Go on ebay and buy a cheapo HID kit. They come with 2 ballasts, 2 headlights and all the wiring, and they only run about $30-$40. If you're taking off the bumper to replace the ballast, you may as well replace everything. It's a fairly simple process. This is of course assuming you haven't already bought an OEM ballast, in which case, I'm sorry, you spent way too much on something that will most likely go bad again in the future. From what I've read, and from experience, CL's are ballast killers. I just replaced my 1st kit (35W 6000K) with a bit nicer one. (55W 8000K) Oh, and my first kit lasted 3 years, so I'd say I got my $30 out of it!!

As far as I know, no. But, I really don't know, they said compatible on ebay, and I am not sure if anyone else has done them in 55W.
I can tell you this though, if you go the route I went, the cheap HIDs wont put out much light at 35W, so that why I went up to 55W, and they look 100 times better, and brighter!
BTW, the cheapo kits I've been buying are the ones by Xentec, the first set I got was the slim ones, which actuall had a peice on the bottom that screwed onto the bottom of your headlight, just like your stock ballast, only with one screw instead of 2... The new ones I got were the regulars, and I wish I had gone with the slim 55W kit, because then maybe I could've screwed it on, instead of using the cheapo double sided tape they give you... But it's working so far.
