Idle caused by bad gas?

Help with 2002 CL type s
I have a 2002 Acura CL type s that had sat for a year and when I went and started it it was idling fine for about the first three or four minutes then it start idling high and going low and going high and going low I was wondering could that be because of bad gas I didn't do anything with the gas for a year

idle surge is normally something related to a vacuum leak from a hose or bad gasket such as throttle body. it may have been just a coincidence that the gas is old. that would more likely cause a misfire or stalling. you can try spraying some brake clean around the tb or any openings on the intake. a torn hose or a bad seal might pull in the vapor and change the idle.
good luck.
