i am having issues with the idle air control.
can someone specify where exactly it is under the hood? and what would be a good way to clean it? i've searched and found possible problems such as egr, the whole throttle body, 02,vacuum leak. but most common was idle air control valve. please help my cl from dying on me at a stop. ASAP. im under the hood right now. thanks

 

It's underneath the throttle body. You can use some throttle body clean to clean it out.

 

ok...i just cleaned it and now my idle is going up and down continuously, from about 750 up to 1400. what the hell did i do wrong?

 

did you destroy the multiple square rubber gasket inside.. if so you may just want to replace the entire valve.
