How do I get the codes? ***Check Engine light***

Hello everybody,

Can somebody tell me if I can get the check engine code by myself.

Is there a plug that we can bypass or jump to read the codes? (by the numbers of flash, of that check engine light)

On my last (2001 acura integra) car, there was a 2 wires-plug that i could jump to read the codes. This plug was located under the dash, near the ECU... on the passanger side.

Now i have a check engine light on, on my 2003 CL-S ... and i would like to get that code...

Please help.

Thanks.

No, this isnt OBD1, its OBD2. You have to plug the scanner in to read the codes. Autozone does it for free.

The plug on the 03 CL-S is under the dash on the drivers side.
