Help headlight out, yes I searched !

Greetings Azine:

Seem to be running into more problems with the CL. My passenger headlight burnt out. I replaced the bulb 5 months ago, and it went out, driver side is running perfectly.

Swapped the bulbs out, no good. Saw the low beam fuse was burnt out. Replaced it , burnt out again.

Searching around it seems like its a ballast issue, I just want to confirm that this is indeed the problem.

If so, have you guys just been buying OEM ballasts and replacing. I see several people here are buying aftermarket kits.

Should I also replace the ballast in pairs?

Thanks!

As Captian Planet would say "Only You Have the Power"

Just replace the ballast or just take it to a shop and have them check it for like $50

Thanks for the reply, but I refuse to take it to a shop, I have a better chance of asking here. I realize I can just replace the ballast, but before I go buy and spend money I want to be 100 % sure.

Tried 2 different bulbs on the blown side, and 2 fuses blowing , pretty sure its a ballast.

Debating of going the aftermarket kit, I just want the headlight to work so I can see at night again, lol.

Anyone....

If you keep blowing fuses it's most likely the ballast.
You can tell if you switch the whole head lamp to the other side and plug it in.
The working ballast will work on the other side.
And the bad ballast will blow the fuse on the other side.
very easy
