Help: Cleaning CAI Filter
Help: Cleaning CAI Filter
Hey guys,
I need to clean my dirty ass CAI filters. It's an Injen system and I grabbed a K&N Recharger kit for 12 bucks today. My question is: can I use the K&N recharger kit on my Injen or are they brand specific in purpose?
Also, I haven't done this before and I'm sure it'll be easy, but if anyone has a cool link or video clip or simple advice on how to do it, that'd be a nice touch.
Thanks homies.

It's it's a cotton-oil-element filter, sure. It should have had an oily smell and off yellow or pink look when it was new.
The new AEM filter design is a dry cotton element that according to them "Works better the dirtier it gets".
Putting filter oil on a dry filter will probably ruin it - so verify beforehand.
