Headlights, please help!!
Headlights, please help!!
Ok so I havent driven my car for a few days, and last time I drove it, it was fine as far as I know. I took it out tonight and noticed that my brights were like "half - on". So when I got back home I got out and looked, and one of my HID's wasn't on, but the other was, and my brights were on sort of dim. Then I hit brights and the whole right side was off. I don't think the bulb is out because the roadlamp isnt coming on either. Does anyone know what's goin on? Any help is appreciated!!

Check the No. 43 (20A) and No. 45 (20A) fuses in the under-hood fuse/relay box. If both fuses are good, change the bulb and try it out. If fuses are bad, replace them and try recheck
If that doesn't work disconnect the 2P connector from the inverter unit and measure the voltage between the No. 2 terminal of the inverter unit 2P connector and body ground.

i had the same issue and the same symptoms.. it ended up being the inverter. check your fuses first as suggested by earlier post.. but i tried that too.. it kept blowing.

Hmmm sounds like that may be the problem. My high beam light being "halfway" on was what made me notice something was wrong in the first place. I did wash it the other day, so maybe some water got into somewhere it shouldn't have. Well I have an appointment to have it looked at tomorrow, and it's under warranty still, so hopefully they will just fix it. Thanks for the response, I was really hoping I didnt have some major electrical problem.
Ok so yeah it's the inverter blown and my warranty doesn't cover it. Figures. So they want 500 for the inverter, 140 for a new bulb, plus labor.... so I'm gonna trade it in. Thinkin about gettin an IS 300.
