Headlights and Cold Weather
Headlights and Cold Weather
My headlights are having a strange problem. Got home from work today to realize that one of my headlights had not turned on on the drive home. Upon discovering this, I turned the headlights off and then back on immediately. Both turned on like they should.
I recall the same thing happening last year (only, I completely forgot about it and I guess I never looked into it). Also, it seems to happen during colder weather (we had 30-40 degree weather today after a long time), so I'm pretty sure that has something to do with it. What's weird is that it works fine if I just turn the lights on and off a few times.
As far as I know, the bulbs have never been replaced (bought the car used). As far as light output, it looks the same as it has always been. No discoloration, one is not brighter than the other, etc.
Does anyone have any idea as to why the lights do this? Any fixes? Happen to anyone else? Couldn't seem to find anything on the forums.

That's what I was afraid of
They've been like this since last winter. I figured they would have gone out by now (haven't replaced anything yet). Seems to only happen occasionally though, it's really weird. Thanks for your input!
