Hard STart after Refueling

has anyone with a 01-03 cl experienced this problem with starting after refueling?

i've read other problems with people starting and resoldering/replacing a fuel relay...has this worked for this scenerio?

any feedback is well appreciated becuase i can only get my car to start after turning the key 3 or 4 times

Is it only after refueling or is it every time you start your car?

Have you tried turning the key to the on position for a few seconds prior to turning it over?

it mostly happens when i refuel but will happen intermittenly between refueling.

i have tried leaving the key in the "on" position to get it started again when it fails....it usually starts back up if not after 4 or 5 tries.

This is really iritating though...could it be the fuel relay? What do you think could be the problem here?

I would check the fuel relay first then:

If you don't have a multimeter:
  • Check the ACG (S) 15A fuse under the hood to see if it's blown;
  • If it's ok, check the No 1 15A fuel pump fuse underneath the dashboard on the driver's side.
If those two are ok; it could be the whole relay itself! BUT the only way to be sure that it really is, is to measure voltage between contacts on the PGM-FI...or just go buy a new one!

Besides the PGM-FI being the culprit, I'd also check your fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, and ignition coils.
