Hail Damage

So it hailed all to hell yesterday and I filed a claim w/ my insurance. I had my friend look at it (he is very reputable BTW) and he said to opt for a complete re-spray. (yes it's that bad.) I was thinking paintless dent but after he looked at it he said I would run the risk of paint warping a couple years down the line. It is very bad. My question, to those who have dealt with this kind of damage and claim filing via insurance, what was your experience? Was it fairly easy? Any hassle?

Mods sorry if this post is in the wrong section.

paintless dent repair will not really hurt the paint, unless the metal is stretched pretty badly.

I fix hail. how much was the estimate on teh car?

They got their appraisers coming out this week. It is pretty bad man. Plus I had paintless dent repair done on this car already for hail. I am thiniing you can only bend/stretch metal so many times before it doesn't hold it's shape. I say this, with no experience in the business tho. I will update once they come out. Thanks for the reply.
