Fuel pump relay problem

I'm having an issue where the car will sometimes not start in hot weather, and I pulled the fuel pump relay to check the solder points, but they all look good.

However, there are 2 coils of copper wire in relay, one of them is green and the other one is copper colored. Is one of the spools supposed to be green like that?

did you reflow the solder regardless if they looked good? Sometimes the cracks can be underneath the solder surface so I'd do so anyway.

Copper oxidizing = green . Case in point: State of Liberty. That's odd why it's green though, can't say if it's part of the problem but I'd highly suggest reflowing the solder.

Make sure the main relay is good too (I don't recall if it's the same on the CL)

Yeah I just don't understand why one would turn all green like that, while the other one stays copper. By reflow do you mean just melting it and letting it harden again? Sorry, not to experienced with this kind of thing. Thanks.

UPDATE: I hit all the soldering points with the iron, letting them melt and reharden (reflowing?), and it's starting consistently! Keeping my fingers crossed it will last the rest of summer.

So far i have resoldered 2 fuel pump relays using one of the diy instuctions.
On both relays the point that needs to resoldered had a cold solder joint, looks like a stress fracture that is very hard to notice with the naked eye. Once that single point was resoldered there was no more starting issues.
