front wheel bearing CL

Anyone replaced a front wheel bearing on a 01 CL? Anything I should know before starting this project? Front right of car is making a slight clicking/knocking noise. Car has 173,000 miles and never replaced any bearings..

Clicking/knocking doesn't sound like wheel bearing, but more like CV joint is dry or worn out.

Yeah wheel bearings will make more of a roaring or humming noise at higher speeds. CV axles will make a popping or clicking noise when turning. If heard when turning right its probably the left axle, if heard when turning left its most likely the right axle.

I'm noticing it on a straight drive and not isolated to either side.If I hit bump on left wheel ,I hear it or if I hit bump with right tire ,I hear it...I replaced front and side engine mount but not the rear.I'm thinking it could be that..but it is hard to tell if it's bad...Any ideas...?

Put it on a lift and check all suspension joints for wear.

check for bad tierods, balljoints, control arm bushings, leaking struts, and swaybar links; these will make noise over bumps. I doubt its a motor mount issue; bad motor mounts normally make clunk noise when accelerating from a stop.
