Excess Metal found when draining my transmission

Excess Metal found when draining my transmission

I have a 99 CL 3.0.
Does anyone know why is would show up when the shop did this today? I have 80K miles

Our transmissions are known to be poorly designed. I'm guessing the metal parts that are coming out w/ the transmission fluid are actually parts of the transmission that have overheated, worn down, and corroded off.
