Hey guys i got an 03 cl typeS 6speed M/T and i put in a Clutch Masters FX300 clutch kit with flywheel and it set off my check eng. light. Any body have this setup or know what the problem may be? If not then im just going to go with the comptech set. And yes the kit was installed right but the flywheel dose not look like its right for my car but clutch masters said that it is. can any ome help me?

 

CT no longer makes a clutch setup. It's been discontinued.
And a clutch is not electric. Only way a CE would light is something electrical is messed up.
What is the code?

 

I've had the CM FX300 in my car for a month now and just got to 650 miles with no problem. The shop who installed the clutch with the flywheel said the same thing that the flywheel looked different but that's because our stock flywheel is dual mass also it was a slight bit bigger but they checked and said it didnt seem to matter. The only thing i see that is different is the cranking noise when the car is starting. Other then that normal harder pedal and different engagement point. Like fuzzy said (and he knows best) i would pull a code. oh yeah what do you have done to your car too that you needed a stage 3 clutch?

 

Some electric circuit was messed up, while tranny was taken out. There are no sensors involved with the clutch. Go back to your mechanic and have them fix it!

Its something to do with the sencer on the tranny that reads the flywheel

 

what was the exact code that came up?

 

I run my car at the track all the time so I wanted something that will lasted

ok well get me the code starts with a "P" followed by some numbers. autozone can pull it for free. also from reading the service manual when they removed the transmission to get to the clutch they had to removed the crank position sensor B connector. so that might be something to check out because there is a ground cable there too.

 

Are you the CM fx300 in your car right now with the CM flywheel? What do you have done to your car? I want to supercharge it but everyone said that its a wast of money $4gs is a lot for only 60hp I would love to go turbo but that's any where from 6 - 8Gs can't do it well not this year any ways or the next lol

yes i have the CM fx300 + light flywheel in my car. had to upgrade because my Cl-S is turbo charged. the only supercharged cl i have been in was an auto so i dont know how it would compare to my 6speed. there is a turbo kit for sale on the black market but i dont know much about that kit.

 

well if u go with the ct clutch u have have that to pay for and to get it installed it seems like it might be easier to fix the problem u have

It put down 355whp/308wtq on a dynojet @ ~7psi. (<--- previous owner ) im gonna go dyno it this summer when i get done with all the rest of the stuff. its nice as hell tho
