Smile clock display light??

Hey everyone,

I own a 2003 CLS 6-Speed. My question is did the clock ever light up? It`s not lighting up when I turn on my headlights and I really can`t remember if it ever did. If anyone knows, please reply.

Thanks, Chunky

I have an '03 CLS 6 speed too and my clock light doesn't turn on when I turn on the headlights. I think it's the bulb inside. I already ordered one along with my RESET button bulb.

it is a simple change of the bulb, i replaced mine with a blue led and it looks great, you can also use white or red or your coler of choice but it took me about 15 minutes to remove the dash piece and replace the bulb

there is also more lights you can change as well to leds, just do a search and check it out if anything

mine is burnt out as well. Is there any how to's to do this? i checked and couln't find any

Also do you know the brand and bulb # of the replacement light? I would really like to do this. It sucks driving at night and not having a clock...my old maxima was a POS towards the end of its life, but the clock was perfectly positioned in that car

Without the lights turned on, the clock always is on, with the lights come on the clock should light up, so I'm pretty sure your bulb is out as others have mentioned. Possibly considering doing the mod, but my soldering skills are terrible, contemplating if I should tackle this, haha. Hope everything works out.
