I've got the code P1758 from 01 TL (78k on it).
It is the only found on the code list :P1758: automatic transaxle. What does that mean???

tranny might be on the way out

anything in the 17xx is tranny

 

That mean the car should go to a dealership.
Could it be simply in the lower ATF level?

If I were in ur shoes I'd do a 3x3 tranny flush... and an ecu reset. Then see if the code is there.

Odds are it's tranny time tho.

I got mine replaced at 58K. Now she's all good.

Bottom line is change ur tranny filter and fluid. ANNUALLY.

Yours probably has never had a tranny fluid change. Mine didn't either.

Acura says do it every 96000 kms or however many miles... 60K

But really you should do it every 40000-50000kms.
