Car won't move...

So, I was driving today and went to pass someone, went from 4th to 3rd, gave it gas but the car wouldnt go and a clunking sound started coming from underneath the car. The car won't move in any gear, and the sound starts again everytime I try to move. Other than that the car starts up fine, just wont move and makes that noise. Any input is appreciated, I'm clueles. 6mt btw, only 84k on the clock

Is that possible with just casual driving? I baby the hell outta the car, never beat up on it at all. I'm just worried that I'll be on the hunt for a new tranny tomorrow. It definitely doesn't sound good

The cv boots can rip and moisture gets in and eventually blows. Look under the car, you'll probably be able to see it. Not uncommon on these cars and it wouldn't matter if you baby it.

Yeah axles. Good for you Acura lowered the prices of them recently. Bad for you that you need 6MT ones & they are hard to find.
You can buy aftermarket ones, but they generally last 30-40K miles.

It did turn out to be the axel. Decided to replace the other one as well to avoid problems. Turned out to run me right around $350

I thought these had a limited slip differential? So it should have been able to move if one CV joint was broken....?
