My gf and I drove her SUV to visit her family Friday, and I left my 2002 CL-S in my parking garage. Upon returning this morning, we saw that someone broke into my car, taking the driver side window out, and then ripping out the aftermarket radio, radar detector, and damaging the center console and practically destroying the wood trim along the center and drivers side completely.



I will know Tuesday morning what the insurance adjustor estimates the costs are, but am wondering if any others have had to deal with this, and did they go through their insurance vs. paying out of pocket. I am guestimating 1500-2000 total, but truly a guess.

 

It amazes me how much people will destroy to get a double din and a radar detector in 2017 with almost no street value.

 

Sorry that happened to you. I have an extra bezel I would sell if interested.

 

Insurance. Use it . That's why we pay premiums ! And surely your deductible will be cheaper than OOP

 

Very frustrating indeed. The shop is still checking out to assess the total cost to fix.
