My son's '01 CL Type S won't start. It will crank over and seem to try to start almost immediately but will not fire and run. He told me the first time it did this (a couple of days ago) it finally started but ran crappy,but he got it home. I borrowed a code reader and it tossed an Oxygen Sensor code and we replaced it,but the car simply will not start - same as earlier. The starter will crank it over but no start. I read about relays here and called him and told him to turn the key from Off to On (not Start) and to listen for a double click under the dash. He tells me he heard the clicks. Does that rule out the Relay? If so anyone got any other suggestions where we should look?

 

Can he hear the whine of the fuel pump priming when going to the "ON" position?
