Can anyone help me clean my EGR valve?

Is there a DIY on this I did search but did not come up with anything.
My car started shaking really bad yesterday and would not let me go over 60mph. the check engin was flashing for like 5 min then the ! light and VSA light came on. The codes that were pulled were P0302, P304, P305, P0300 and P1399. I did Alot of research and decided to order 3 coil pack today. ( I just changed my spark plugs like 2 months ago) So I am gonna change the coil packs in the 3 cylinders that where missfiring. I also read that it can be the EGR valve and that you can clean it. So while im waiting for my coilpacks to come in I might as well clean my EGR valve.. Can someone help me out with cleaning the EGR valve?

Can someone also let me know what else I can try doing to resolve this problem.

I can't (will not) drive my car ..I will not go over 60 MPH!!!

Help!!heLP!!hELp!!

A clogged EGR port would not throw a p0300 and other cylinder misfire codes , would it?
A clogged EGR would prob throw a p0401 or other p04?? code..Correct?

I don't know about the EGR but I'd got the similar codes about 2 month ago. Those were cylinder 1,2, and 5 misfire codes. The dealer tested the engine and found cylinder 5 coil were bad. I paid about $200 for diagnoistic and new coil pack. I can send the repair record if you want to see.

Thanks.

It's a coil pack issue if you're throwing those codes. Buy 1 coil pack and replace one at a time.

Make sure you reset the CEL and then drive the car with the new coil pack. If it throws a CEL, put the old one back and replace another one. Keep trying until you figure out which one is bad, Very rarely are more than one bad.

I've had coils replaced and have still had all of those problems...shaking..can't go over 50 mph and the only thing that clears it all up is cleaning that EGR valve. My car has been fine since I got that done!!

how can you tell when the egr is going bad i pulled the hose off expecting to see some blowby gasses but i seen nothing and i put my finger over the hose and felt i slight i mean slight suction.......call me stupid but from my experience with hot rods there is suppossed to be a slight haze coming out.

To get to the EGR port you have to remove the throttle body and intake manifold. What you're referring to is the PCV valve.

I am going to be cleaning my egr ports on my 03 cl s and am hoping for some tips. What to use to clean it? Clear pictures of before and after jobs? I am new but have had a p0305 code thrown at me for a minute and I have done all I can do.

Thanks.

a lot of aftermarket coilpacks are junk and fail right out of the box. Never assume that a new coil is a good coil. If you suspect a coilpack, swap it with another cylinder and clear the codes, drive it and see if the misfire follows the coil pack.
