Help please I think my trans is going! Everytime I try to shift into 3rd it makes a rattling noise which it has been doing that for about a week now. So for now i am going from 2nd straight into 4th. I just recently replaced a brand new clutch and asco lightwieght flywheel. Any suggestions, ideals, or opions?

 

Since you just had clutch work, I would say it's related. Was it installed right? Take it back to the shop & have them check it.

 

my boy @ the dealership did a side job foe me .he only chared 300 for clutch and flywheel

 

^ as much as a clutch+flywheel are an integral part of a car, I would not have them serviced by anyone other than honda/acura where I had a written warranty etc....

I haven't heard of anyone ever having problems with their CL 6MT's, but I did remember seeing it on that service bulletin a while back. Not sure if this relates to your issue. Hope that helps and good luck with your situation.

^+1 Our trannies are pretty much bulletproof from what I've heard, unless you re a noob who is constantly banging on it and mis-shifting ?
