3.2 CL - 3.2 CL-Type S

I did a search and didn't find anything so here it goes...

I'm looking to convert the engine in my 01 3.2 Cl to a type-s and from what I've gathered and from what I've read, all I need to do really is get the type-s camshafts???? with that do i need to get the J32A2 ECU as well? 2-stage intake manifold? or will the cams themselves suffice?

This is all going off memory, so Im sure someone will correct me if Im wrong, but I believe the J32A1 uses completely different heads (actually Im pretty damn sure of that) and I think they use different rods and pistons as well. And yes, the intake manifolds are different.

The (S) for any Acura or Honda product means, all their engineering and racing expertise is put into the car components. Higher compression pistons, larger intakes, freer intake filter element, freer flowing factory exhaust, more aggressive spring rates, the list goes on.... You're better off just doing a motorswap with a type s motor and tranny.

but anyways what is the point of doing that in 2001 car? Many engine differences, already crapy transmission is even crapier with smaller clutch packs. You would have to change entire drive train = tranny +engine! Just sell it and get yourself type S
