This morning, my car would crank but would not start - all accessories worked fine. When I read something about the key possibly being bent, I realized I had used a spare key, not the one on my regular key ring. This was a spare key that my Acura dealer made for me when they lost my original key while my car was being serviced. Car started right up with the old key! I hope this helps someone else avoid a repair/towing bill.

 

Well that would be cause the key needs to be programed to work with the car. All Acura's have a microchipped key.
Simply getting a spare key cut will only unlock the doors.
