New to forums here Ive had my 03 cl-s for 2 years now and my driver side hid went out and my highbeams became my primary source of headlight. Checked the front fuse box and noticed the fuse was out. Replaced it, but it keeps burning out everytime i turn the switch on. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

P.S "SRS" light also came on not too long ago, but apparently ACURA is fixing the problem for free?

 

You're not going to like my answer, but it's most likely your HID ballast (inverter). I had the same exact issue on my '01 CL-S. The ballasts are about $400 and there are no aftermarket alternatives, from my understanding. A search in the "problem & fixes" section will reveal a part number (which I do not have handy).

 

i have a question about my headlights. they both dont look glossy and clear. also, the driver side looks like there is a water ring on the upper part of the headlight.. it makes my headlamps look horrible. acura told me that the spots are from road where. little chips from the highway and streets. also, they said that i should buy plastic cleaner and that should do the trick for the water ring. . are they lying and what should i do?

 

No, they aren't lying. Get something made by some company, forgot the name. It's definitley on the boards, just search for it.
